The Staves – Silver Dagger

I love The Staves and I love the traditional song Silver Dagger. Put them together in the lovely surroundings of The Kazamier and you’ve got one of our fave Routes Jukebox sessions ever. Joan Baez brought this song to the folk scene in the 1960′s and The Staves do an amazing version of it in the first of a two part session. The other song from this session will be online today at Bido Lito! and will appear on Routes soon along with another City Walls song and a recently discovered series of shorts about the 1980′s Rock’n'Roll scene in Liverpool.
